PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Polished concrete is a process where industrial diamond grinders using a variety of diamond grit stages to naturally achieve the luster and beauty of raw concrete. The stages usually include 30-50 grit wet grind, 100 grit wet, 200grit wet or dry, 400 grit, 800 grit, 1500 grit, 3000 grit and then a final buff. When done properly a 3000 grit polished floor will look outstanding. Densifiers are also
required for all specified polished concrete.

Other considerations:
Uneven concrete will have a wavy finished look or if ground smooth will have larger areas of exposed aggregate and areas without. Floors can be polished to expose aggregate across the entire floor which provides more of a natural granite look. They are also polished without exposing the aggregate considered a surface polish, which is common in large box stores. Concrete dyes are also very popular to add color and design
elements to polished concrete.
